Sales at Walkway – New Business
About Walkway
Walkway helps tour, activity and attraction operators grow revenue through dynamic pricing and competitive intelligence.
We combine competitor data, booking patterns, seasonal trends and demand signals to deliver practical pricing recommendations and automation. Operators stay in control of their strategy, with visibility into the decisions Walkway makes and the results it delivers.
Walkway has already powered more than 10 million live operator prices and $40 million in gross booking value, helping businesses across the world put smarter pricing into practice.
Our team brings experience from Airbnb, Viator, Regiondo, and KAYAK, alongside expertise in revenue strategy, data science, engineering and product design. We understand the industry, have a product delivering real value and see a substantial opportunity ahead.
We're hiring two ambitious salespeople to bring Walkway to more operators around the world.
The role
You'll own new business opportunities from the first conversation through to a signed contract, helping customers move smoothly into onboarding.
We're looking for hunters: people who actively find opportunities, get in front of decision-makers and keep deals moving. You're comfortable picking up the phone, writing a thoughtful email, starting a conversation on LinkedIn and finding another route when your first approach doesn't work.
You'll have room to take initiative and shape your approach. In return, we'll expect ownership, consistent follow-through and measurable results.
This role reports directly to the VP, Product and Marketing/Sales.
What you'll do
- Own the sales cycle. Take opportunities through prospecting, qualification, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation and contract signature.
- Build your own pipeline. Research operators, identify decision-makers and create opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, industry events and other relevant channels.
- Work leads with urgency. Follow up promptly on inbound, partner and event leads, qualify fit and turn interest into clear next steps.
- Understand the operator's business. Learn how they manage pricing, bookings, capacity and distribution, then connect Walkway's capabilities to their commercial goals.
- Run clear, relevant demos. Make dynamic pricing easy to understand and show how Walkway combines automation, control, transparency and measurable impact.
- Move deals forward. Handle objections, re-engage stalled prospects, involve the right stakeholders and follow through on proposals and contracts.
- Support onboarding. Set clear expectations, gather the information needed to get started and work with the team to help new customers get live.
- Keep your pipeline organised. Maintain accurate CRM records, next steps and forecasts so opportunities don't fall through the cracks.
- Improve how we sell. Test approaches, learn from conversion data and bring customer feedback back to the team.
What we're looking for
- Ambition and a hunter mindset. You enjoy creating opportunities and earning the sale.
- Self-sufficiency. You can organise your day, prioritise your pipeline and take action without waiting for someone to assign every task.
- A focus on results. You care about customers won and revenue generated, and understand the consistent work it takes to get there.
- Confidence across channels. You're comfortable cold calling, sending personalised outreach and speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
- Persistence and judgement. You follow up, try different approaches and know how to earn someone's attention.
- Curiosity and commercial understanding. You ask good questions, listen carefully and explain value in terms that matter to the customer.
- Coachability. You seek feedback, apply it quickly and take responsibility for improving.
- Comfort with technology and data. You're ready to learn the product and explain pricing, booking and revenue insights simply.
Ideally, you have 1–2 years of sales experience, particularly in B2B SaaS or another environment where you've actively pursued new business. You could be an early-career closer or a strong SDR/BDR ready to take ownership of the full sales cycle.
Experience in tours, activities, attractions or travel technology is a plus. Evidence of initiative, persistence and results matters more than a particular background.
What success looks like
You're consistently creating qualified opportunities, converting them into signed customers and meeting agreed new business targets. Your pipeline is well managed, your prospects know the next step, and new customers enter onboarding with clear expectations.
Why join Walkway?
A product with traction and results you can sell.
Walkway has established product-market fit, operators using the platform and customer results that demonstrate its value. You'll be able to show prospects how better pricing can improve revenue, increase bookings and save their team time, supported by real examples.
A largely untapped market with room to make your mark.
Tours, activities and attractions span everything from walking tours and cooking classes to cruises and major visitor attractions. Many operators are still managing pricing manually, with limited tools and visibility. There's significant room to introduce a better approach, build relationships and win new business.
Learn alongside people who know the industry.
You'll work closely with a team that has built and led travel technology businesses, understands the operators we serve and brings deep expertise in pricing, data and software. You'll develop your sales skills while learning how experience businesses work and what drives their growth.
Meaningful ownership early in your career.
You'll find opportunities, run conversations and close customers yourself. Your ideas about who to target, how to reach them and what wins business will help shape our sales approach. As Walkway grows, there's room to take on greater responsibility and build your career with us.
An industry that's easy to get excited about.
Our customers create experiences people travel for and remember. You'll help the businesses behind those experiences become more successful, with a direct connection between the product you sell and the results they achieve.
